TONI DANCHIK - PAINTER

Artist Toni Danchik was born and raised in South Africa. Her early years there provided experience and insight into the plight of women and children living in the shanty towns and rural villages. Seeing the lack of clean running water and the absence of the most basic facilities was heartbreaking for her. “My heart is tender towards children who have been orphaned due to the ongoing HIV/AIDS pandemic in Africa”. These early life experiences influenced Toni’s painting. Her Africa series is filled with images of village life and color contrasts against the difficult living conditions of tribal people in South Africa.

Her skills as a painter were honed by taking painting workshops with accomplished artists throughout the country. Toni also enjoys teaching art classes in San Juan Capistrano at Mission Fine Art Gallery.

Toni is a graduate of The Cultivated Artist Experience. The Grove Center for the Arts & Media’s experiential program that helps artists with innovative productivity tools while cultivating deeper connections with Jesus Christ.
